Staffordshire residents and businesses are set to benefit from new government-backed Skills Bootcamps following Staffordshire County Council awarding funding to Cenit College UK to deliver two programmes focused on Project Management and Data Analytics.
The programmes form part of the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Skills Bootcamps programme, led by Staffordshire County Council through its Skills and Employability provision.
The national Skills Bootcamps programme is designed to help adults develop skills aligned with employer demand, while supporting businesses to address skills gaps and strengthen their existing workforce. The UK Government's 2026/27 Skills Bootcamps funding allocations continue this investment in flexible, employer-focused training across England.
Cenit College UK has been commissioned to deliver two Skills Bootcamps in Project Management and Data Analytics, providing Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent residents with the opportunity to gain practical, employment-focused skills.
Supporting businesses to invest in their people
The Skills Bootcamps provide a significant opportunity for local employers looking for cost-effective ways to develop their workforce.
Staffordshire County Council confirms that employers can use Skills Bootcamps to train existing employees and address skills gaps. For businesses with up to 250 employees, they can receive 90% funding, making the contribution just 10% per employee. Larger employers can access 70% funding with a contribution of 30% per employee.
This means a business can access specialist training for its employees while making a substantially lower financial investment than would normally be required for comparable commercial training.
The Project Management and Data Analytics programmes are particularly relevant to businesses looking to strengthen their capabilities in areas such as project delivery, business performance, reporting, data-driven decision-making and operational improvement.
Creating opportunities for Staffordshire residents
Alongside the employer provision, eligible unemployed and self-employed individuals can access the Skills Bootcamps with 100% funding, subject to the programme's eligibility requirements.
This creates a direct opportunity for local people to gain skills that are valued by employers while supporting Staffordshire's wider employment and economic priorities.
Staffordshire County Council identifies Skills Bootcamps as an important part of its approach to helping people upskill and reskill into areas of demand and preventing people from becoming long-term unemployed.
The Council's current Skills Bootcamps programme covers priority areas including digital technologies and professional services; areas closely aligned with the Data Analytics and Project Management programmes being delivered by Cenit College UK.

Cenit College UK will deliver the two programmes as part of the local Skills Bootcamps provision, working with learners and employers across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.
